Convincing myself this is a good idea.

2 sisters - June 6th 2010 - 13.1 miles.

Here we go again.

So this means that I have forgotten how time consuming, painful and dedicated this is...wrong. But I also have not forgotten how it felt going through the finish line together. Besides, I've done it once, I should be able to do it again, right? Let's see, I went out for the first time in months and ran two miles. (woohoo!) Except 3 days later my calves are still sore and I kind of hobble when I start walking around....

Some convincing...

1. I am going to be in incredible shape...
2. Having a goal will make running/exercising easier. No longer will I feel like I'm doing all this work for nothing.
3. The race is at the beginning of June, I'll be able to put on a bathing suit with no worries...unless of course I eat 12 pizzas and drink a few gallons of wine in the weeks immediately following the event which I'm here to tell you is highly likely.
4. We are going to be training in the middle of winter which means our legs will become numb faster.
5. As of now we have 7 months to train, much longer than our last one.
6. We won't have to say "I am so out of shape" anymore.
7. Being 500 miles apart we'll have something to do together.
8. We now have a blog to express our true feelings about running, which means not taking it out on others...maybe.
